Xel'Naga

The Xel'Naga are the race that created both the Protoss (from Greek- "first") and the Zerg (probably named like that because of the place where the first Zerg were discovered by the Xel'Naga, Zerus). There have been very few mentions of Xel'Naga in the first Starcraft games and probably the only Xel'Naga building seen was in the campaigns - the Xel'Naga temple.

There's no information on how they look or what their abilities are. One thing is sure: they will play a big role in the Starcraft 2 campaigns. Zeratul was shown seemingly wounded and speaking "The Xel'Naga have returned" in a Blizzard cinematic.
