Sam "Samwise" Didier is the Art Director at Blizzard Entertainment, and currently the senior Art Director for StarCraft 2. He has been with Blizzard for a long time and his artistic style has been very influencal in all major Blizzard titles.
His style is known for having exaggerated physiques and a vibrant, bright color palette, something StarCraft 2 lately has been moving away from.

- Samwise does the cover art for Swedish Power Metal band Hammerfall (gallery).
- He was largely responsible for the Tauren Marine April Fools joke 2008 (article).
- He was also the main designer of the Pandaren race April Fools joke for Warcraft III. Due to fan reaction, a Pandaren Brewmaster was actually put in as a neutral hero.
- He is the front man of Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain, a band with only Blizzard Employees that does their own humorous StarCraft, WarCraft and Diablo songs.
