The Lair is the main Zerg building and is central to the base. It produces Creep in an area around it, Larva to be morphed into units, and can build the Queen, a defensive unit. One Larva is released every
15, unless there are already three or more Larva present at the Lair. The Lair unlocks higher levels of buildings and units. Lairs can set two separate rally points: one for Drones and another for the other units.
Lairs can support a maximum of 19 Larva with consecutive Spawn Larva use.
The Lair allows for the research of three upgrades: Burrow, Pneumatized Carapace and Ventral Sacs. Once a Lair has been evolved, these upgrades can be researched at any Hatchery, Lair or Hive.
