Now, we have approval from Blizzard to make this information public. Included in this release are 3 new screenshots, 1 of which contains a Zerg Overlord and what appears to be a new tileset. Blizzard has listened to all the fans cry out for more information on the Zerg and perhaps this is the beginning of a series of releases to reveal more about the Zerg. I can hardly see an Overlord putting the community at ease about the lack of information on the Zerg so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of them! Hopefully we'll see some more new tilsets in the coming months. While it appears there are no Jim Raynors hidden in these screenshots, we are making it easier to search for them! Beginning with these 3 screenshots most of the screenshtos you find on our web site will be available in high res. Simply click the image to be taken to the high res version. In the first screenshot you'll notice a swarm of Zerglings attacking a Terran fortification. The Zerglings are on fire, we believe this to be the Thor bombardment ability in action. It's clear that Blizzard has not yet removed the Thor from the battlefield. In the second screenshot you'll notice a combination of Zerglings and Banelings attacking the Terran. Banelings appear to be quite effective when used in the same tactical manner they are in this screenshot. However the biggest development here is the Overlord you can see. It sure does stand out on the battlefield... This tileset appears to be something new to Starcraft. It appears to either be snow, or a white sand dessert. In the third screenshot it's Terran vs Terran. There's nothing new in this screenshot, but it's nice to see a fresh battle. In light of the Overlord being released, we have added it to our unit database. QUOTE(Overlord Unit Database Description)Presiding over the Zerg was the Overmind, now replaced by Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades. To control efficiently the Swarm, the supreme Zerg master requires the aid of its leader-servants, the Cerebrates, but also of lesser but nevertheless important agents. The space-faring specie of the Gargantis Proximae was assimilated into the Swarm as the Overlords, vital commanders who direct the will of Cerebrates and the Queen of Blades into the myriad number of quasi-soulless Zergs, making them act as one unstoppable and intelligent hive-minded host. Without the steering presence of Overlords, a Brood cannot grow, or dominance would spiral out of control. Although devoid of any defensive measures than a stout carapace, the Overlord can reveal concealed targets in its vicinity to the Zerg.
