Hi. I just bought ROC and FT from Blizzard.com earlier last night. When I tried to log into USEast it gave me that problem that everyone is having. I did read around some other threads and ran that program. It's saying i'm IP Banned?!?!?! I just bought the game, paid $40...

I made a new account when I logged into US West because that was the only way for me to get on to post this.

This is the log file from that program that I ran

Hi Kingbastard,

Unfortunately it seems that you have an extended temporary restriction on your connection. This issue will happen as a result of (but not limited to) the following:

- Rapidly connecting and disconnecting to Battle.net
- Creating or joining numerous games within a short time period
- By the use of "add-on programs"
- Chat channel abuse
- Failed login attempts
- In game latency caused by excessive spell effects
- Spamming text in the chat channel (often associated with bots)
- Repeated attempts to use an invalid CD-Key
- Repeated use of third-party programs (hacks) – these include but are not limited to sending bad packets, flooding the server(s), and the use of hack programs

Restrictions of this nature can last from several days up to two weeks. Technical Support does not have access to the reason a specific restriction was put in place or the length of time the restriction is for. We also do not have the ability to remove the restriction. The only thing I can recommend is trying to connect every couple of days to see if the restriction has lifted.

This is bull shit. I just got the exact same "ban" and I had to browse for 10 hours before I found out that Blizzard has decided to ban me since they dont even have the decency to tell me that I am bannad and for what reason I am banned.

I do not use any third party programs or hacks for that matter but I DO live at a dorm where I share IP with ~10000 other students from Denmark.

Now, seeing as I am one of the head admins on the worlds largest dota sites you now have 155.000 users who can't get proper support for their problems because you decided to ban me for what anyone of 10.000 others have done. I tried writing a support but that takes ages to get answered in my experience with Blizzard support.

I sincerely hope that an employee from Blizzard will write me so I can get back to mine and you can continue to have 155.000 users who can get support when they have problems so you dont have to waste resources on that as well. I hope to get an answer soon so I can tell my users that I will be there for them again.

Best regards

Adding on; At least have the decency to tell people that they are banned and why instead of that "connection failed" crap and on top of that, try using your AUTH ID to ban with instead of IP. It shouldnt have to come from an external source that Auth ID are alot more safe for bans since you can just refresh your IP by a simple router restart - unless you, like me, live at a dorm and share IP with many others and thus can not just restart it.
