When the update to the new servers went through my current ladder character KLassAct was replaced with my character from last ladder of the same name. My current character was a level 96 sorc on ladder and now I can't join any ladder games. What can I do to get the proper character restored? |

All that was done is they copied the current character info over to the new test realm. Nothing was done that would cause the data to change.
The character currently on USEast was created 2011-12-24. I see a steady stream of backups for it from that date to present. There was not a new character created after the last ladder reset, which would have had to be done in order to be on the new ladder. |

You're right, there was a transition between the old and new one on 5/2/2012. The fact you rushed it right away made it look like it never happened as the backup sizes never changed, which is how I can tell a new character from an old one.
In any case, I think I've got the one you want back on there now so give it a try. |
