they are mixing up the order, dont get too exited about the specific "decoded" image,
actually we dont care if it looks like this or not, its face will be revealed last,
and the only important is that d3 is comming not a fool mmo, and this time its gona rock, omg, image the visual and textures and shadows in the latest direct3d!

i hope blizzard will not keep it undeconstruction that many years as they done with d2 and 3dfx was bought by nvidia, and d2 engine was patched in a harry to support and d3d exept glide back then.

No, we shoudln't be too excited about it, it might not be diablo, but I for one think/hope it is. To the ones saying it's just a coincidence with the letters/numbers, the employees at Blizzard are known to be tricksters/pranksters and to hide "secret" messages in their work.

But also, the other things make it fit, Blizzad buying diablo3.com. A few might know that blizzard sell fan-lore books about their games. Just as they said they'd make SC2 they also released new lore books two out thus far (read em). So what has this to do with D3? Now think about the new trilogy of Diablo books, any special reason to write books in the diablo universe or is it just another coincidence? ^_^

Actually it's well known they're working on a third game, Project Hydra. They've been hiring people for a next-gen MMO for a while now, so my bet is D3 will be some kind of MMO, maybe World of Diablo. Although with some twist to set it apart from WoW.

Anyhow it's 100% clear imho that the announcement at WWI will be Diablo-related, but what kind of diablo game is another question.

Sheal and Hex are number 13 and 15. But this numbers dont make any sence as a date or a letters (M and O). If you count from Zod downwards you get 21 and 19 (U,S). Thats not really better.

Does anyone else have an idea?

well, to support your item #4, the diablo3.com website is now owned by Blizzard (if it wasn't before) and was last updated on Jun 17. Updates are usually change of ownership, details, or DNS servers. And they haven't changed DNS servers because all their other diablo domains haven't been touched recently.

for the record, diablo4.com is currently owned by a dude called Christian Engels in Germany.

Hi Guys...

I did some snooping my self.. and this is what I come up with.. Sorry if some one alse all ready found this i didnt see any posts with it in it.

If you view the source code for the new splash page you get this..


Now we can see what the style sheet they are using is called..
and if you open the style sheet you can see that the two images of the pirple monster have names to go with them.



04.jpg = tundra
15.jpg = cavern ( both name are places where Abominable's are found in D2LOD)

And it looks a bit like one maybe??

Actualy...the first discovered Rune is from Frostmourne (WoW), the second is the Hel Rune (Diablo) and the third is the Protoss Emblem (Starcraft). But i stil wander what's up with Mr.Purple

my guess is that Mr.Purple does know sth. however, because of the contracts, he/she cannot tell us or give us those crucial pics. thus, he tries to give us some hints, just like blizzard
