This episode covers WoW, D3 and SC2. The StarCraft section is pretty short, Bornakk interviews Dustin Browder (Cavez) about air units and the graphics of Protoss buildings warping in.
Jeez, I'm finally listening to the Cast and it's depressing. Browder said the following things that bother me immensely:
1) Zerg buildings don't yet bleed 2) @13:47, "I know we're showing a lot of material..."
So either this was recorded at the beginning of time when they were actually releasing information, or they're much farther behind than I expected. Your thoughts?
I was pleased that they said they still had a lot of work to do with the art since there's much that can be improved. I was actually looking at the Hatchery/Lair/Hive a few days before and thought how lackluster they appear.
I don't think that the beta is any closer or farther away than I did before. They've said often art is one of the final things to get done in their development and it's something that gets tweaked frequently in betas.

Yes, but I think this gives us a realistic mindset that beta is atleast two to three months away. They are still playing with unit codes and pathing as well. What I gathered from this blizzcast is that Blizzard is taking their sweet time with the game. A lot of work needs to be done and that's ok with me.
Quote:Bornakk: The first question is from Norfindel on Battle.net. Can you give us some insight into the current air model, like what are the roles of the air unites, and what do you see working really well in-game?
Btw that Protoss buildings errr... how's that called? Phasing? ... animations comparison. Anyway it's on transcript page and looks cool
And damaged Terran buildings smoking instead of firing is something new... Interesting, will they self destruct when having low hp over the time like in SC?
