Actually, WoW and SC@ have two different Dev Teams. Their development does not affect each other.

Development nowadays is completely unrelated and has been for the longest time. SC2 development is not being delayed no more.

I don't believe this is true. The WoW Dev team has always been separate from the other dev teams. D3, SC2, and WoW were all being developed in 2003, by separate teams; just as they are now.

This is what I have heard multiple times from different people. I could be wrong that is for sure because I can't quite cite and reliable sources but that explanation seems plausible.
It is your decision if you find something like this possible or impossible. Just saying what I have been told.
